I need more opinions that are not against me and my family.....Thanks

Is are 5 year old Rottweiler Tank jealous of our new baby ,after it ripped up the baby's nursery room?
While my wife and I were visiting her very best friend With our new 2 week old baby boy.Our Rottweiler was destroying the baby's room for the second time. And when we got home my wife was on the phone to this woman telling her everything right away. And her friend told her to find another home for our beloved Rottweiler Tank(dogs name) because the dog is jealous of the new baby and might kill the new baby, and my wife told her that she is very rude and out of line and hung up on the rude woman Now our so called friend is calling back and she threatens to call animal control or child welfare
What are our rights ?
Can we get a restraining order from this crazy woman ?

If your Rottie was your "baby" before your boy came into the picture, it definitely sounds like jealousy.

I really don't think that animal control or child welfare would do anything (your dog is licensed right?), so you probably don't have to worry too much.

Definitely keep Tank away from the baby's room for awhile, though, until he gets used to having a baby in the house and all the new smells and stuff.

By the way, anyone who decides to to get on their soapbox about Rottweilers and babies being in the same house has never owned a Rott. In my experience chihuauas are nastier and more likely to bite.

Maybe you should listen to your friend, as she has the benefit of being the third party observer. It's hard to admit that she's right, because now it is a "don't try to tell us how to live" issue.
You have every right to keep your dog, but you also have a BIG responsibility to keep your baby safe. You could get a restraining order, but she could still call animal control and child protective services.

You need to get rid of the Rottwieler. What are you thinking??!!!????

Your friend should call animal control. You will be hauled in front of court of law and the poor animal will be put down when they remove it from your home.

If you do the right thing and find a home for your beloved dog, he gets to live. Your selfishness will cost him his life AND if they don't get there soon, your child's life.

The lady is correct, and she should call child welfare and I hope she does,

If you have not removed the dog from this home after these two events, any jury in the US would convict you

You want opinions that support you, but consider why you aren't getting them. You have presented your story like you don't value your child more than your dog. I am not judging you, just trying to point out how you are being perceived.

Im sure it would be hard to give away your dog but think of what might happen if you don't give him away. I think you firend is over reacting she shoudl let you make you own decision and stand by you even if they dont' agree with you. Good Luck

Get a grip!! Your friend has more sense than you do. What do you value more your baby or the dog? Keep one or the other., but NOT together.

If your dog hurts or kills your baby, you could be charged with child endangerment or murder. Lose the dog.
