Yes lots, like one girl the only time I have heard her talk at like a normal tone not a whisper is with her mom once. I'm really shy I wont have a real conversation with you until I have known you for like a year, if I dont really know you then I would say "hi " and thats about it

That's like asking if there are any Americans in America.
Shyness is not a characteristic of a country, but a character trait of a human being. American, Bolivian, Thai, Afghani, Swedish, Angolan - any state in any part of the world, you will find people who are shy.

Lots of Americans are shy and introverted. What is represented on television and the movies has absolutely nothing to do with reality in the United States.

Nope, but then I can't claim to know many Americans. I'm sure there are many though, just like in any other nation.

to raymo51. I lived in America for some years. the majority of Americans are intelligent and very well educated. which it seems you are not, as you pointed out you haven't met any A mericans, so how can you judge them? the ones I know and who I have met are gracious, caring and are not self opinionated. as you who haven't met any moron. they only project being loud on tv and movies. stupid.

I don't know any Americans, I avoid contact with them at all costs.
In my experience they are invariably, loud loud LOUD, self opinionated, talk incredible dribble and love to boast about materialistic assets. Is the term "shy american" an oxymoron?
