Both the classic Mini (1959-2000) and new BMW MINI (2002+) are available with manual 'stick shift' or automatic transmission. The automatics will vary depending on the year, some have CVT (continuously variable) while others have steptronic (like most other BMWs). The 2006 Cooper models are generally 5-speed 115hp while Cooper S are 6-speed 168hp supercharged. For more information, go to www.miniusa.com, click on "Our Cars" then "Mini Model Comparison" link. PS: 2007's are coming soon!

I won a MINI Cooper 2005 Convertible. It is automatic, with CVT meaning you can ALSO shift. Good Luck!

Stick is standard
Automatic is an option - that will cost you a few thousand more when you buy the car...
