My best QB is on BYE. Do I put in Roethlisberger or Leftwich, who is "questionable" b/c of his ankle? Or should I try to pick up Kitna or Vick?

I would absolute grab Mike Vick in this case. Leftwich is less than 100% and if he plays, Philly will try to bring all kinds of heat on him when he drops back to pass. Vick has a super favorable schedule coming up - Cincy gives up a lot of rushing yards, Detroit is pretty awful and Cleveland is one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL. That should give you three solid weeks of production from a waiver wire QB.

I would say Roethlisberger. I picked him up for last week and did not play him and he would have given 23 points. I should have played him instead of Palmer who only got me 12. I have Hasselbeck too and am loving him. My league plays two Q's. I know I am a girl, but I am ranked 2nd in my league after loosing 1st two weeks ago. I got involved in this to see why my hubby enjoys it so much, and I have to say that I am getting hooked! Good luck with your choice!
Roethlisberger threw for 238 yards on 16-for-19 passing with two touchdowns in the team's Week 6 game.
Oct 16 Roethlisberger finally came through with a big game and Pittsburgh won for the first time in a month, beating Kansas City 45-7 on Sunday to snap a three-game losing streak. Roethlisberger was 16-of-19 for 238 yards and two touchdowns, his first two scoring passes since the AFC Championship game.
Advice: Roethlisberger had struggled since returning from an emergency appendectomy. But with Sunday's strong performance, perhaps the Steelers offense can stay on track next week at Atlanta. Roethlisberger improved his passer rating to 60.2 this season.

Leftwich vs. Houston!

If you can pick up Vick without giving much up I would go that route. Vick showed last week that he can pick apart a zone defense with his arm, which is going to force Defense to switch to Man coverage, allowing Vick to be a dual threat on the ground.
I see Vick putting up #'s like this :

190 yds passing
2 TD
0 Int

80 yds Rushing
1Td

Obviously monitor the injury situation if you can, becuase I would play Leftwich if he starts. If I couldn't monitor his injury status on Sunday morning then play Roethlisberger. I think he will be good again this week.

Kitna is off this week. Big Ben may not play because of a concussion. Looks like Vick is your best option -- although it's hard to believe he is still available in your league.

Vick is playing against Pittsburgh that has a sick run defense so no. Stay away from Kitna, they're gonna run the ball against the Jets. Big Ben is playing against a good Atlanta D. Even though he's questionable they're still gonna play him. They might run the ball more but go with Byron.

Roethlesberger might not start with the way Batch played last week, but if you feel risky play him because the Steelers are playing Oakland this week. The Steelers are 9th in passing yards in the league and will be winning this game just with who as their QB,
see what you think:

Leftwitch might be a bad bet, although his injury is just a sore left calf and he has only missed one day of practice. Look for him to play down against a 16th in the league Eagles defense, also he might not see much action becuase the eagles offense is soo dominant. Also Leftwitch has only thrown for around 1100 yards and 7 TD's so he wont have a good day.

Vick is too unpredictable, but we might be guessing a good week here against a confusable Cincinati defense. Although Vick has unimpressive numbers at QB with >1000 yards on the year he has made up for that with 11 total TD's. His team also leads the league in rush yards per game, and against a 19th ranked defense in the league Vick should get enough to do wonders.

Kitna was fourth in passing yards last week and the lions have started to step up their game.
But unfortunatley for you the lions are on bye!!!

So when it comes down to it the choice is easy go with the unpredictable masked marvel
MIKE VICK!!

Houston's pass defense is the worst in the league.

Go with Leftwich
