NEVER blame yourself for someone elses failings. Cut this jerk out of your heart, and get busy being happy, there will be many trials to come, but the important thing is how you handle them. Consider yourself very lucky for getting away from this loser.

No you are not to blame. Don't worry about him, he is not worth it any way, he is going to do the same thing again. The next time be friends for a while, so you can get to know him, so have some fun, he is not your problem any more!

He was obviously not worth your time, have fun doesn't mean to go out and cheat on your mate. I tell my husband to have fun when he goes somewhere with his guy friends that doesn't mean hook up with some girl! This boy was not worth your time, move on and keep looking for the boy who treats you right.

Ok, obviously I'm not a guy, but I couldn't help but answer this question. You told him to "have fun." Not to hook up with another girl. It's not your fault! Anyone that says that is stupid. Unless you meant, "go hook up with another girl" when you said have fun. lol My guess is that you just wanted him to have a nice vacation. :) He's the one to blame.

fin is very astute, i am told by my wife all the time to have fun,, but cheating isnt part of that,, but then you didnt say he slept with her,,just that h met her,,, which could mean he wishes to pursue a relationship with her,,which is why he eneded the current with you, possiby before relations of a sexual nature,,which means he still respected you enough to let you go before doing it

Nobody's fault really, he met someone that he wants to explore a realtionship with, it happens. And would have regardless of what you said to him.

It's not because you told him to have fun....it's because he doesn't want to be with you....sorry about that. Move on and find you a real diamond...good luck
