Yeah, she should. IF the water's murky, that means its dirty. Fish do go to the bathroom, and when the waste builds up, the water looks murky. The water should be clear and u should be able to see the fish swimming around nice and clear, not in murky water. I had an aquarium. The water was clear when mom set everything up, then the water got murky aftter a while. She had like a suction thing on the tank that emptied the dirty water, but she did clean it out once or twice just to get remnants of waste out, so the fishies would have a clean place to stay. I'm not sure, but I think a dirty habitat could kill anything if they live in it long enough, even little fishes.

Yes, she should clean it or she's going to end up with dead fish. It should be completely cleaned about once a month. All the algae and fish waste needs to be taken out.

Perhaps a cleansing towelette rubbed gently up and down the inside walls of her fish tank would be a good idea.

Gross - but very clever!

Anything that smells of dead fish definitely needs to be washed more often!!

Of course she shold clean it. Best for the fish. Even something like that can be pet abuse. Believe or not.

She probably should invest in a filter and/or clean the aquarium more often than she has.
