all of the above are correct BUT...the real trick to make it easier is....a bucket..fill it a little ove half full with hot water..and a drop..just a drop of dish soap...grab a hand ful of old white face cloths and start cleaning the windows..THEN polish with windex or vinegar or newspaper whatever..you see the trick is to remove the dirt an grime and pollution first..you will never get the inside clean with just windex or vinegar ..i just did my windows last week and they were so clean i wondered why i left them for so long..air conditioners leave a film that windex won't totally remove and i am also a smoker...smooth clean glass !!!!! NOW

If you want to go cheap and easy, the best thing is old newsprint. I'm not kidding! A newspaper sheet a week old no longer sheds ink. It's cheap, absorbent, and slightly abrasive. Just enough abrasive to remove smoke film, etc. And like I said, it's cheap! You do have to moisten it a bit though. Not too much or you get a mess. Best time to do it is in the morning if you have dew on the car. Sop up some dew from the outside, then do the inside. After a few times you will get it down pat, and love the job you did.

Use a regular glass cleaner and clean rag or paper towels or newspaper. Then, once you are done, take another separate clean, dry rag and wipe the glass again...this will remove the streaks that you can't see but appear when it is cold and there is moisture in the air (like at night). I have found that the aerosol spray glass cleaners work better, and if you can use a microfiber rag for the final wipe that is the best choice.

Get some of that foaming window cleaner in a spray can and also get a large Micofiber towel. Those things really work great.

Windex and regular paper towels.......

dont use the blue paper towels from the auto store. They have some sort of oil based residue in them and will just smear.

Personally I like paper towels and windex, but many people like newspaper and windex or vinegar.
