got old pc with microsoft works, but upgraded to xp, still only showing Wordpad. Is there a way i can get microsoft word installed without costing a fortune. Need it desperately, but i'm only a novice with these things. !
Someone help me PLEASE

No, but you can run both. I do. You can download microsoft word from www.emule.co.uk and as it is freeshare it won't cost you a penny.

You could try using Open Office which has a word processor package that behaves the same as Word, and saves files in same format as Word. The software is free as well.

you can get the free trial other then that have a friend who knows hows to copy it from antor computer to yours that is the only way it will not cost you a fortune. i am in the same dilema as you are.

No but you can go to Friends house and email it to your home pc from theres,
