you don't need the candles or spells or any of that stuff honestly
save yourself the money
spend some quiet time alone.
clear your mind
release all negative thought
and focus on what you want
(not how you get there)
and also - make sure you want something you believe is possible and isn't a negative thing
you'll have it
but, if you have problems focusing, candles, etc might help you set the "mood"
but really, "magic" is just the ability to channel the energy of the world around you (or within yourself or god or whatever it happens to be you might believe in)
people who say their prayers never get answered are able to say that because they do not trust their faith. if you trust your faith, everything always falls right into place - and if it doesn't, you understand why and know something else will happen instead

First off if your asking about magick (always spelled with the k) its no parlour trick hun, so please don't degrade it. Magick working is dangerous if you are not experienced and do not watch your intent when you are casting. For example, a friend of mine cast a love spell, she ended up raped several times by this fellow because she was not careful of the intent of the spell.
Whenever you cast a spell you must remember two things. 1. your reason for casting it, is it with honor or no. and 2. HARM NONE, love spells can be harmful so are you casting it to control someone or to open up a door for you?
Do spells work, yes they do. Do they work the next day, nooooo it takes a while for the spell to work itself out, but once it does, you can't take it back. I cast spells all the time, however, I'm careful about which ones I cast and my intent behind them.

I bought a voodoo book to "curse" an ex and it actually worked but I got back 3 times what I gave to him. I threw the book away.

Magic is real, if you beleive in it. But I wouldnt reccomend it as it is of the devil, and you get back 3 times worse than what you curse. Be careful.

I suppose you could look at it as a form of prayer, except that instead of seeking God's will, you are trying to implement your own. One definition of majick is the art of creating reality in accordance to your own true will. Be precise. Be careful.
