go to the lumber store.....they are called shims.

The best are the tapered plastic wedges. They have slots across them to stop them moving when they are installed. When pushed under the correct amount, the remainder can be broken off.

Why not buy some wooden clothes pegs and cut the wedge ends off them?

My handyman neighbor uses formica samples but, says if you want hardwood you prob. have to make them yourself. But, he has used the formica several times successfully. You know, you can get them from home improvement stores.

They sell packs of those (shims) in Home Depot.

you need shims a sugestion is get the composite shims. they never warp grow or shink like a regular shim would
