Yes it is pretty good and will play FEAR and most other games well.

I've played FEAR on the 6600 AGP which was compatible but had piss poor performance.
My main PC has an ATI x800 gto (pci-e) and runs the game great.
Your card is quite a good one so should do fine (not amazing, but adequate)

Just checks the specs for the card and see if it is compatible with the requirements of the game (found on the back of the box, most likely).

Compatible with the game means it will load the game, it doesn't mean it will play it well. You should get decent performance with it, nothing spectacular but it will play the game.
