Through out Canada statutory rape is sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 15. Consent is irrelevant if the victim is under 15. The law covers both females and males.

If 15 that is the age of consent in most cases so there is no crime. Some exceptions are mentally unable to consent, or physical disability.

All other rape is non consensual intercourse.

I don't know , but you can pick up a pocket book of the criminal code for 5 - 10 dollars at most (big chain) book stores.

You could also just call the Mounties and ask them. If you are feeling paranoid about calling the cops and just asking don't - call from a pay phone and tell them you just want info. Every time I've ever called them just to know somthing they have always been helpful to me .

You could also go to a lawyer - they will give you a more detailed answer but that costs money - that said most lawyers criminal and otherwise will gove you a free 1/2 hr conseltation and a lot of that can be done over the phone to - provided it is a few straight forward questions and not some detailed plotline that resembles a soap opera and would take an hour to tell

its not actually called 'statutory' rape in Canada - and the age of consent is 14, not 15. Although, if the person is over 18 and in a position of authority, dependency, or trust towards the person under 18 (but 14+) , it may be a criminal offence (sexual interference, etc.) it all depends on the specific details.

The age for consentual sex in Canada is federally set at 14.

Saying that, an adult can still be charged with a variety of sexual interference offences depending on the position they held over the child.

Its rape. If he's over 18 and there is greater effective than a 2 twelve months distinction between the two, i think of it classifies as such. What does a 21 twelve months old have in undemanding with a sixteen twelve months old to boot intercourse, besides?

The federal Crime Code is in use in ALL Canadian provinces. Unlike the US, there is one uniform set of criminal laws across the country. Find a copy of "Martin's Criminal Code" in any good library and look up "sexual assault".
