Anything by Bob Dylan in his 1960's era.
Listen to the following songs for some beautiful lyrics.
Ballad in plain D
Love minus zero no limit
Girl from the north country
The guy may not be able to sing in tune but he can sure write one hell of a lovely poem.

Washed my face and combed my hair
and stumbled down the stair to meet the day etc etc

I would have to say Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day.
"It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right, I hope you had the time of your life." That lyric means a lot to me

What in Heaven or Hell is ever going to kill me now?"
