I think you need to play with the Ordnance survey website. Also there is a firm in Newton Abbot that do reproductions of very early Ordnance survey maps. Here is a link http://globalgenealogy.com/countries/england/general/maps/victorian-os/index.htm

1950's map will be a little harder. boot sales or second hand book shops are the most likely place.
