Lots of stretching, and to start off slow, run for about 20 minutes everyday or every other day. Non-stop though.

After about 2 weeks of that, up you time and so on.

it depends on what events you will be doing. sprinting, distance, field events, what? one thing i can tell you, if you're not in shape, get in great cardiovascular shape! (run, run, run!)
