Nope. No one player is bigger than the game. I don't care if it's Pujols, A-Rod, Jeter, whoever. Sure, the stars are great to watch, but it is about the team and everyone's contributions, good days and bad, amazing events (like that catch last night) and silly errors, capitalizing on opportunities and overcoming adversity (and sometimes bad calls). Who would have thought 24 hours ago that Beltran would go down looking and Molina would hit a home run?

I'm not sure that I'd use the word "prestige" in this situation, but I agree that this series doesn't have very broad appeal. It will probably play okay in many red states. I grew up in New England and live in California, so I don't care who wins and won't watch any of the games.

NO!!!!!!! I'M A HUGE RED SOX FAN, but I like Jeter a lot. He definitely should not be MVP of '06. PAPI ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!! Jeter's really nice and I met him, but we should have different teams in the World Series not the Yankees every year. Besides, if they can only win one game in the ALDS, then they definitely don't deserve to go!
Message to all Yankees, and Yankee fans: $200 million buys you ONE WIN IN THE DIVISION SERIES!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahahahahahahahaha Yankees!!!!!!!
GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!! '07 IS OUR YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!

Why don't you go cry to your mommy!!!! Yeah he is a great player but the last time I checked there are about 700-800 other players that work to get to the Series also.

That only goes to help the World Series regain it's luster. Jeter won't be kissing Gay-Rod all the time on national TV. Get a life Jeter and the Yankees suck! thanks to Gay-Rod.
