my period was way shorter and not as heavy as usual. i had sex and my boyfriend didn;t pull out. I took a pregnancy test a week after we had sex and i dont know if it was too early to tell.

Sperm stays in your body for like 10 days. That means that it can get you pregnant up to ten days after you had sex. The other side of that coin is that a woman is only fertile for 3 days or so out of her cycle (which is why a man's sperm is designed to stay inside you for so long). Basically, the sperm waits around inside you for you to ovulate. Then it fertilizes the egg. If you just had your period, it isn't close to that 3 day window of opportunity. If you had an abnormal period, likely you had what is known as a spontaneous abortion (these are quite common). What happens is the egg get fertalized but fails to implant itself on the uterine wall. Then you have your period and the egg is flushed out. Many women have tons of these before they successfully "get pregnant". It's a normal part of the fertilization process.

It takes longer than 5 seconds. It takes sperm a few days to reach the egg. And a pregnancy test wouldn't be valid until several weeks after fertilization. You'll have to wait and try again.

the egg is fertilized instantly by a sperm.. it shoulds like you had "break through bleeding".. The only accurate pregnancy test you can get is a blood one... I would take a urine test soon.. Take it in the morning when you have the highest concentration of urine.. Also.. Why arent you on birth control if you're having sex without a condom? The pull out method is completely stupid.. you can get pregnant off pre-*** which secrets out of the penis to lubricate, most men dont even know its happening.. If you're not pregnant, then I would consult the local planned parenthood,health clinic or your doctor to get on birth control

You situation reminds me of the one of friends. Monica couldn't have a baby because her uterus was a hospitable environment and Chandlers sperm had low mobility. They adopted. But anyway, my question is, what would happen if one of the sperms with 2 heads and 2 tails fertilized you? Would something go wrong with the baby? I'm assuming that you and your husband will have to be patent and wait till his sperm is normal and until you get your period again. You guys are still young and have plenty of time. Good Luck.

Taking a test a week after you had sex, you will not a correct answer. With your period it could be, yes u r pregnant or no ur not and ur cycle is beginning to change. I would suggest that you wait til u r expecting ur next period -- or wait at least another 2-3 weeks before u retest -- or if u wanna know now, get a blood test done.

The test you took was too early. Abnormal period can be a sign of prenancy. Many women have one or more light or weird periods at the begining of their pregnancy. You can take a test when your next period is due. Or you can go to a doc or clinic now and ask for a blood test.

it can take like up to a week for the sperm to fertilize the egg...and as far as your period goes...i had mine for the first couple of months and my mom had her's for like 3 with me and my bestfriends mom had hers throught all of her pregnancy's so i dont think that part really matters...just get a pregnancy test and find out....better be safe than sorry i mean if you are u want to know so u can begin prenatal vitamins and eat better and all of that good stuff
