Is this suppose to be for people to get help with "real" questions. And is it for teens or adults? Most of my answers seem to come from kids and are not very serious at all. In fact----------mostly plain silly.

Many people have requested that Yahoo get a separate category for teen age users. Call it "teenage dating" or something like that. So far there have been no new category posted.
If this teenage category were available, the adults could actually ask and answer more serious questions here.

It is for any questions. Some are riduculous because people are just bored or trying to be funny. Others are really serious - people have a problem and are turning to others for support. Then some are in between - people asking for help with computer related issues or asking opinions on anything from hair and makeup to dating advice!
The age range is probably enormous. I wouldnt want my kids seeing the questions or answers on this site.
Look at the leaderboard. I think some people are business people and they promote their websites etc. as well. They use this site as a tool.
Some people are addicted - they want to get more point. They wake up and think "Yahoo answers ...... get more points..." they get home from work and think "Yahoo answers... get more points..." !!!!!!!!
Some people like to actually help people. They are reaching out and encouraging others. They love to see when they get a best answer.

That is one of the things I like about this site. You can get answers from kids and professionals. Sometimes it is serious sometimes it is just for fun. Different countries educational backgrounds it is never the same.
It seems like in the hours after school lets out that's when the kids are on. It seems to go in waves but it is unpredictable.

I have given and received some good advice on this site. There are a lot of younger kids who come on here and ask the most ridiculous questions and have dumb answers. But, I still like this site.
