ok...so, um...how likely is it that a VERY faint positive result will turn out negative?

By faint I mean that I saw it within the first two minutes, but my husband said "What? It's negative." There is a line there, but it is exceptionally pale.

Thanks, everyone! I took another test this morning, a First Response test, and the result is clear! Positively positive....welcome to a third (and hopefully last!) child!

Probably... That's how mine was... Wait another 2 or 3 days and take another test... It will be hard, but try to be patient...

It's possible that it is positive. The level of hormones in your body [the HCG] is what makes the lines turn color. Every test has a different threshold . One test may measure at 25 where some may began to measure 50 -- It depends on the test. However, there rarely is a false positive. A blood test is most accurate -- however, you can repeat the urine test again in a few days -- also it's better to have a early morning specimen
Oh yeah congratulations!

What do you mean by "very faint"?

ANY positive result is positive!
