There are two answers to your questions.
1. To change the direction of the page you would go to the File Menu at the top of the page, and choose Page Setup. On the Margins tab, choose Landscape. You can also change your page margins (the blank space around the page).
2. Text direction- There are only two ways to change the direction of your text. One way is to use your drawing toolbar and create a textbox or you can create a table (you can choose no border if you do not want it to look like a table) and then you would highlight your text and use the Format Menu and choose Text Direction. You would then choose the direction of the text that you would like and click OK.

do you want you paper to be sideways or what?
to get it sideways, you go to File, then Page Setup, and then you make it go from Portrait to Landscape. i don't think you can make the text sideways.
