AFTER they happened? Seriously, who cares when, isn't the fact that they HAPPENED more important than the timing? Or is complaining about the timing a way to avoid dealing with the REAL issues? I'd lump democratic scandals in there, but I can only find one, and it was really boring...

Hey MEL T, whatever happened to the good ole days of Donna Rice? Sexy sexy sexy! I need a good scandal for me to pay attention. Foley was shaping up to be a good one, then we had to find out that the child wasn't a child at all, and that Foley was actually gay, instead of just a pervert. WHy are we so boring?

It's not coincidence. I can certainly understand there might be outrage that people knew of some serious crimes and decided to hold onto the info for election gains (Foley - coming out ;). I also think that digging around for dirt is a crappy way to win an election. Why can't the different views stand on their own? Frankly, I've found all the scandals boring. Including Foley. Well, this priest thing is mindboggling.

PS: If you think hard you could probably come up with a couple of more Dem scandals in the past year. ;)

PSS: I know rich people financial scandals are a bit of a yawn. lol

The past 6 years have been nothing but daily scandals. Its just with an election coming up, people are actually paying a slight bit of attention to it.

Bush lies every day, about every thing. He evades, overrides, and runs in constant foul of the constitution daily. They manipulate evidence, hide evidence, distort information to the public. Nobody cares.

the real joke is that people care more about Foley then they do about losing there rights ( habeas Corpus) and more then much bigger scandals involving money laundering.
or even fu.ckin IRAQ
the truth is, if the Foley scandal had never broke the Republicans would be in way deeper ses then they are right now.

its not a coinkee dink. its a political tactic called "october surprise"
and the reason that only one democrat scandal has come out is because the press works for the democratic party. they even conference call with them to sync on tactics and timing.
its been going on forever and it always will.

What makes it STAND out is double standard preaching about what is acceptable in the political arena. Point it out, but duck!

The joke is that you barely hear anything at all about Reid or Jefferson.

The democrats probably waited to release their intelligence until close to the election.
