They are there, in the ASCII set. Most printers, fax machines, include the keyboard table for a typical keyboard.

Your Operating System should have it in the accessory panel, I know it is in the MAN (Manual) on the desk, in the main menu, in all Linux distros. http://pclinuxos.com

i assume ur using MS Word
for degree symbol, do any one of the following:
1. Insert > Symbol > In the font dropdown, choose Symbol > click the degree symbol > ok
2. use MS Equation Editor (press F1 help for more)

for fractions, do any one of these:
1. Again, use Equation Editor ---- BEST OPTION
2. Go to insert, field. look for the equations option in the second frame by selecting the correct option in the first. Type \f(n,d) where n is numerator and d denominator. click ok

i really think u should use Equation Editor. install it if u don't already have it

Go to "start""programs" "accessories" "system tools" then "character map." In there you will find "symbols."

Hope that helps.

Degree is alt + 0185 or 0176

Good Luck

if you are in word or excell you want to go to insert and go to characters. They have a whole list of special characters in there for your use.
