I want to wear almost all black with dark makeup

Firstly, goths can wear whatever they want, not just black. There is no gothic dress code, and Hot Topic is not goth, no matter what anyone tells you. To learn more, visit goth.net. And as for a costume, why not go to Salvation Army (cheap and you get to DIY, how punk rock is that?) and salvage a theme costume: Genius, Eighties popstar, dancer, whatevs. Just choose what appeals to you. Well, how cheesey do you want to be? the easiest is probably to grab some black lipstick, heavy eyeliner, black nailpolish, a cheap silver ankh or overdone cross, and all black whatever else you want. This is probably the most glaring "look! I'm a goth!" aesthetic you could go for.
Not all goths dress like this, though. It's common to dress in eastern style clothing, in Victorian era clothing, in excessive amounts of leather, in eigties punk attire. . . you're getting the point by now, no doubt. You can pretty much do whatever you want but the focus is definitely on the darker colors.
What IS everybody on YA's love affair with Hot Topic, by the way? Don't go there for a costume- they're far too expensive for that, and they tend to carry more raver stuff, anyway.

Well if u wanna get all dressed up from head to toe u should do this. Of course paint ur nails black which always shows a sign ur goth. Where some jewley like a black choker neck and some punk out t-shirt It really shows u and that ur a goth. My firend was that one year and it was great. Get a bunch of fake pierces and Wa LA! lol p.s BLACK BLACK NO OTHER COLOR OK! BLACK BLACK!

Big huge baggy black pants with chains a black band shirt, black wig or temporery dye and the braceletes with the spikes. For more help go to the mall and find the goth people. Oh and visit Hot Topic!

a similar company clothing from warm topic they continually positioned on. In attempting to be "unique" they arrive off as being the most "unoriginal" because they replica one yet another more advantageous than the similar old man or woman.
