Has anyone seen this movie? Can you tell me why the doctor takes of his shoes before he jumps out the window in the beginning of the movie?

Yes, I saw She Hate Me. I think it's becuase he doesn't want to ruin his shoes. I mean first of all the man commits suicide!! He isn't thinking right to begin with!
I have a better question. Why didn't home boy empty out his account before he called to blow the wistle on his company?
