Its part of their culture. Its how they've been raised.

Is this a true sterotype? Oh hell no!

Ever seen a pissed off hispanic woman with a frying pan, or a gun when she see's her man come home with another womans perfume, lipstick or hickeys on his body?

You can see the guys- they're usually in the hospital or the morgue!

It is a stereotype, maybe 50 or 60 years ago it was completely true but not nowadays, in Mexico 40% of the households are headed by women ( providing for their family ), and to tell you the truth in almost 60 to 70% of Mexican families the wife/mother has the last word I am not married but all my friends are and even though they deny it their wives have the last word ,men earn the cash and the wife decides what ot do with it, I know they don´t mind heck they even want it that way it lightens the burden men are under a lot of pressure as providers in a country with a fragile economy, yes there are men that still are machistas but that is not the rule, we have police women, women governors in the state where I live the head of the State Judicial Police ( they fight drug trafficking cartels ) is a woman and she orders men around and she answers directly to the governor and nobody tore their clothes because of that

Because broads dont got isht to say.....women's voices generally sound like fingernails dragging on a chalkboard to us.....maybe if broads had an inteligent comment every now and then it would be ok, but usually broads just complain, it gets old real fast.
Hispanic women put up with it, becuse their men are good providers, and they are in a stable, reliable household where the man is in charge. This is the best family unit for raising children in.
IT sounds like one of my latino brovas did you wrong, get over it, there are plenty of us to choose from

I know they can be possessive at times, but I haven't known the women to be passive. Not the ones I know, anyway. It happens in all cultures, but Hispanics are very involved in their family life, more so than Anglos. It has a positive side to it.

That's not true for all Hispanic men, you shouldn't let your past experiences with Hispanic men control you judgments of all Hispanic men.

in part, it has to do with the man's "machismo", which is like, his manly-hood...he has to act tough in front of his friends and act like he is superior to his wife.
and not all hispanic women put up with it.
my mother is a hispanic woman and she doesn't take crap from knowone! my mother speaks her mind all the time and my father does not expect my mother to be quiet at all.
my mother and father see each other as equals.

It's from their culture...

If you will notice...older Hispanic women are more submissive to their husbands...and fiercely protective and also jealous.

Women from many cultures are submissive. European and American women are not the "norm." (Less submissive).

I would never let my man tell me what to do. I give the orders. My ex was Latino and he was very taken that I was very headstrong and brash and I spoke my mind. That's part of the reason why his mom hated me because I was "too independent"
