i've had this type of dream twice [ in about a month]

someone (or some animal) is fighting/attacking me, so i fight back. i yell for the people around me to help me, but they dont. i keep fighting and then my attacker falls dead to the ground. i cant believe what i have done, feel terrible, and tell someone i know that i didnt mean to kill that him/it. then my attacker stands up, walks over to me, and starts hurting me again, and i fight back.

any sort of interpretation you can get, or whatever you think any part of this means, will be appreciated. thanks

This dream doesn't sound like anger. It sounds like you are having a major problem trying to get something solved, and your wanting someones help..... and your not getting the help that you need. This problems to be something VERY hard for you to figure out. BREATH!!! GL

This is a very brazen and commanding dream. After some considerable reflection on what happened in your dream, I've concluded that you exhibited the following feelings: malicious, panic-stricken, and enraged. You also appeared to be the target of someone who was also enraged.

Your maliciousness may mean that others look down on you because you are ill-tempered. Perhaps you should regulate your temper.

The fact that you were constantly in a state of panic may mean that you are devoid of any authority or control. Perhaps you feel helpless or indecisive in some aspect of your life.
Your enraged demeanor may mean that your ill temper and negative upsurges could possibly repel your friends.

There were also many blatant feelings about the other person in your dream. He/she was enraged as well. This may signify that some type of chaos has occured in your social or career settings.
This can also represent your effort to salvage some animosity in your relationships.

Your intense anger should warn you that you can be swept up in a tumultuous situation. The people close to you, for instance, may cause some form of harm to you and rifts will be formed.

Most notably, the vehement anger in your dream may have been transposed from your reality. Perhaps you felt this way and dreaming it is a way to safely vent out your feelings. Carefully examine your attitude. Are you supressing anger or belligerence?

Note that I am aware that I am a stranger and I do not know who you are. This is simply a GENERAL interpretation for people who have dreams of this nature.

Dreaming of being attacked literally translates into fear or insecurity.

being attacked == being criticized
fight back == denial, seek fairness, guilt conscience

Perhaps in your life, you don't feel safe about people around you.
You may be criticized about things you have done and you don't feel respected. You fight back because you don't admit faults that were pointed at you. You may be into some sort of denial because you feel the world is against you. That is why your projected this "thing" to attack you. You vent this all out in dream. The dream reflects your personalities and the way you handle things

My personal interpretation is that u are trying (in waking life) to get thru to someone. Maybe an authority figure of some description (teacher/parent - bear in mind i dont know ur age). U fight their point of view, feel a breakthrough, then they come back at you with something to cloud your judgement. Still to ur own viewpoint in waking life and i feel certain this dream will end!

In my experience I would relate that to some sort of guilt. Maybe at times life takes your mind off whatever it is your guilty about. At others it resurfaces and cause a feeling of panic in the back of your mind. Or it could be a premenition of a conflict you see in your near future. Hope it goes away for you, fear is a wasted emotion.

you have something eating at your subconscious probably based on something that is going on in real life... whether it is something that someone did to you or a conflict that you are avoiding. it appears that you do not know how to confront the problem because, as in the dream when you were reacting merely out of self defense, you still felt remorseful.

do you find that when you try to get something you want in life or do something to better yourself, that you put yourself in a position to get walked all over, only to have to pick yourself up again and begin the struggle all over?

Maybe somebody in your life is hurting you emotionally. Or did anybody ever hurt you physically when you were younger? Or emotionaly. Is yes, then maybe they are out of you life and you are eithe r afraid that they are going to come back, if they havnt already.

Thats just my opinion, but I dont know if I am right or not.

Did anything happen to you in your childhood to cause this dream to happen twice? Maybe you have supressed memories that are coming out in your sleeping hours.

Or, were you hurt physically or emotionally as a child? Did you hurt someone with words or actions and are now you are feeling guilty?

Just a thought.

I think you're in conflict with your inner self. There's something you ought/want to do desperately, but you're scared of it. You try to depressed it, but it comes back, haunting you time and again. So, maybe you should confront outstanding issues in your life, work-wise or in your personal life. Hope it helps a bit!
