When water is trapped in your ears, it means that the water does not have enough weight to pour out when you tilt you head to one side.

To get the tiny drop out,
-pour more water into the ear
-close the ear with your finger and shake your head from side to side
-then while still closing the ear, tilt you head to the side of the ear and remove your finger
- all the water would pour out

Alternatively, you can use cotton bud to clean the inside of your ear

After swimming I always have this problem. Finally a friend tried mixing vinegar and alcohol together and pouring some in my ear and letting it sit awhile, then tilt head sideways and let pour out. The alcohol helps evaporate whatever water is left.

Pour half a cap full of rubbing alcohol into your ear. It will reduce the surface tension of the water, and allow it to drain out.
