Hey well i am writting a esay comparing to types of news papers...about the broad sheet paper, i wanna say the tittles for this news paper are longer and give more imformation...would explanatory titles be okay..does it even make sence??

When in doubt, keep your sentences simple, straignt-forward, and to the point. I think saying "The titles in (insert the name of newspaper A ) are longer and include more information than the titles in (insert name of newspsper B)." is fine. Just say whatever you want to say in your essay, but keep everything straight forward. After the above sentence, you can give examples of each and compare/contrast from there.

Informative headlines sounds are better. Explanatory sounds too stuffy.
