My favorite director's gift (I direct) is always, the poster framed with a mat around it, that is signed by the cast.

Then I can hang it in my office and remember.

Little things that sit around get lost in the shuffle.

Give the director a really nice snuggly sweater and maybe have it embroidered with Annie Get Your Gun. Like one that ties and doesn't have buttons. Men and women both wear those at home. -I can fill a sweater-I can do it better-

Are you looking for a serious gift, or a "gag" gift? What price range? Please give us a few more details, I have a few things in mind, but need a bit more info. I'll check back.

Find something that has the Sun and the Moon on it. "Sun in the Morning and the Moon at night"
