i recently went on a job interview and i signed the paper saying i would take a drug test. do this sound like a good sign. even though i dont have prior work experience.

Everyone has to start somewhere, so no work experience may be fine depending on the job you interviewed for.
I think that having you sign the paper is a good sign...it's another step toward getting hired. They wouldn't have bothered if they weren't still considering you.

I don't want to burst any bubbles here but 99% of all places now do that. They want to make sure you don't refuse and if you do refuse, they toss you out.
If you don't get a second interview call within a week, forget it.
There is an old, old saying that says, "the job isn't yours until they show you where the time clock is located."

Alot of employers want to take drug test and want you to sign a papre up front saying you will submit to them. Doesn't mran you got the job. You don't have the job until they tell you ,you have it. I go for a second interview Monday myself and I won't believe I have the job until we all sign on the dotted line .......I know I have it I'm terrific!!! âº

Some places of employment ask for that even if they are not sure if they are going to hire you. But the good thing is they are still considering you.
