What you need to do is reboot you computer first. Make sure you first take you device out. Once you are back on you desktop insert your device. If nothing still dosent pop up disconnect your device. Go to My Computer in the start bar. Reconnect your device, and it should pop up in the devices with removable storage section. When it pops up just double click it. Welcome. If it still dosent work which i am sure it Will go to your computers manufacturer website (EX. www.dell.com) It will tell you further troubleshooting. FOR UR PSP JUST SO U KNOW IF YOU ARE PUTTING MUSIC ON IT JUST DRAG IT INTO THE MUSIC FOLDER FROM YOUR MY MUSIC FOLDER IN ANOTHER WINDOW.

depend on the usb type and device type, sometime there's a small electrical surge occur when connecting an advance usb device (2.0) into an old usb port (1.1). if your usb port driver is not properly install or outdated, it'll also give you this kind of trouble. there's a few way to tackle this, install a new 2.0 pci usb card, if you are using windows me or above, it'll be much easier to install it. another way, you can also remove your usb port driver. before that, make sure there's nothing connected to it. restart you PC and the driver will be reinstall automatically. sometime you need to update your usb port driver using the supplied CD driver for your motherboard or using Microsoft/windows update.
