My question was a little vague what happened was I ran across my 5 & 10 yr.. old's picture on MySpace.com when I was viewing my ex-husbands bands page & under the bands friends photos I clicked on a female co-workers of my ex's and my kids photo was on her friends list under my ex's name. I freaked out, & he told me it was no big deal

In this day and age of child predators? Personally speaking as a mother of three, I would never post my childrens pictures on a site that people other than my family or friends could view. I may be a bit overprotective but that is how I feel.

Personally I feel it not appropriate. Personal Blog should display the photo of particular individual only. However I do find many people posting the photos of their kids in their personal blogs for the reason best known to them.

You might not want to expose your children to the public eye. Too many predators out there, darling. We just had an AMBER alert in Louisiana Friday, two boys, 10 and 11, stolen by their own mother who did not have custody and the mom's girlfriend. Relatives say the mom is suicidal and no one knows about the girlfriend. Be careful who you let see pics of your babies and what kind of personal info you post. Too many nutcases out there.

I would say it is okay as long as you use precautions. Don't put your name or address and I agree with the other comments, keep your blog private so that only friends are able to view. You wouldn't want some weirdo looking at your stuff. You never know what kind of pedifiles are out there.

BE SAFE~!

I dont see the harm...there are photos all over the internet of children, unless there is something unappropriate about the photos themselves, or the blog is giving out personal information
I dont think there is any problem at all. Dont make a mountain out of a mole hill.... Chill out.... live life a little with a brag book of your kids. (before they grow up and are not children anymore!)

As long as you don't have all your personal information out there and the pics of the kids are fully clothed, I don't see the harm in it. Most people want to show off their children. They are proud of them and love them.

Pics of your children can be found in other places that you don't even know about alot of times. Like if your friends or family members have pics of them and they put them up on flicker or any of the other shared photo albums online.

At least when YOU put them online you can decide which ones and you can usually mark them where they can not be copied or printed.

Some parents are just proud of this kids...If it's a legitimate photo I don't think it's bad at all...

And another thing with internet sites now is that you can set it up as private, so noone can really see except for the people who you want it to see...

Ilove my kids dearly but I don't think its a good idea to place a picture of them on the web unless I am in the shot, even then a very carfully chosen picture would be the best with no summer shots or anything that would give dirty pedefiles somthing to gaze upon.

I think in this day in age, you should post your own photo if you wish. You have to remember that a lot of sexual predators have access to computers and many of them are very good at hacking. I would not run the risk of exposing my children of such a young age it may prove to be risky business.

You mean you want all the other crazys out there to see what your kids look like but you want put yours my rule is.the truth is is your kids old enough to say if the want there pic on there. There are some nice people on here but it only takes one to see what your children looks like and find them and then you'll take about it when it's 2 late, make the right choice. If you want people to look at them set up your own web site and tell the people you want to go see your family kids at the web site you made.but don't let all these crazys look at your children.would you go and throw then under a bus when it's moving
make a good choice not for you but think of your kids
