Offenses are always recorded to mean that nobody is allowed to violate laws. Thus, minors should always be monitored by parents because violations that are committed comes all the way to adulthood. Anyway, the law should provide leniency when the minor offender has rehabilitated.

while there are already a lot of cases that go before courts and courts are backlogged, i think a judge needs to decide this on a case-by-case basis.

i was brutally raped when i was 17. this man deserves to be locked up still, but because i was afraid to testify and afraid of the system, he got a plea down to 2 years. he's out now, but still considered a sex offender. and he should be! a judge would know that.

willing, underage sex is just that- willing, underage sex. in my state i'm pretty sure the age difference can be up to 5 years for underage people, and for underage people and adults, wtih the minimum beign 12, but i'm not positive because i'm not in the business of having sex with minors.

i think it needs to be looked at individually, and that no blanket law is just.
