i just recently started using tampons instead of pads.. so should the string be all the way out or half way in?

if you have it inserted properly, the string should hang out by about half its length. otherwise, the tampon isn't in far enough and it will be uncomfortable (and won't do its job the way it would if it was in all the way). and don't worry about inserting it too far. your cervix will only allow it to go so far. hope this helps.
