i have prepaid, and it really is too expensive, but i dont need like 1000 minutes... only a couple hundred at most..
so i dont want to pay too much a month, or for excess minutes i really dont need. any good plans to help>

You can do any plan on a one year. The difference is the price of the phone.
If you already have a phone that would work on T-Mobile, then you should have no problem.
I do one year deals all the time in South Florida.

You can choose whatever plan you want as a post paid customer.
You said you just need a couple hundred minutes? I would suggest you look into the following plans: http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/plans/
The lowest price plan is for 29.99 a month which gives you 300 whenever minutes, and unlimited weekends. Please note note no unlimited nights with this plan.
If you would like to get a more flexible plan I would suggest you get the plan for 39.99 which includes 600 whenever minutes, plus unlimited nights and weekends.
