Absolutely! First of all the '68 team were legitimate National League champions (97-65). A hall of fame pitching staff which included Bob Gibson and Steve "Lefty" Carlton. An outstanding lineup which included Ted Simmons, Orlando Cepeda (HOF), Lou Brock (HOF), Curt Flood, and Roger Maris. If todays Cardinals played the '68 Cardinals in a seven game set the '68er's would sweep in four.

The 2006 Cardinals have no arms to compete with Bob Gibson. Gibson was the most dominating pitcher in baseball for years. The 68 team would win easily.

Wow permit's make excuses for each worldwide sequence the Cardinals lost and permit's say what if that they had by no skill lost a interest ever that they had have like 103 or what share ever. The Yankees nevertheless have sixteen greater championships then the Cardinals so which you have have been given aways to pass.

Yes, because of hall of famer Bob Gibson games 1 and 5, Steve Carlton, Curt Flood, among others. They were an awesome team 1964 to 1968.

The '06 Cards have better hitting, but the '68 Cards would shut them down with great pitching. Probably a lot of 1-0, 2-1 games.
