out, tied them to little bags of candy and gave them away to my husband's coworkers. This year, we're separated, and I wouldn't do that at my office. Is there another witnessing idea for Halloween? Here's the poem:
Being a Christian is a lot like being a pumpkin...God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff - including the seeds of doubt, hate, and greed. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for the entire world to see.
Wishing you a bountiful harvest of God's richest blessings!

If a Muslim did that, I'd say Thanks or No, thanks. Pretty easy. But gays don't proselytize, so the point is moot. They're not commanded to share what they believe. Christians are.

"...you have enough holidays to 'spead the work of God'"
It's "spread the Word." And it should be done EVERY day.

First off ehy wouldnt you do that at your office but you would at his? Ashamed of who you are? Second, if someone of another religion such as a pagan, were to give you or your children something like that based on their beliefs, you most likely would through it in their face. Halloween is not a christian holiday, you have enough holidays to "spead the work of God", leave this one alone. Some of us do get tired of hearing about your God!

No offense, but please leave Halloween alone. No other religion besides Christianity goes around trying to convert others. And honestly, people do get tired of it. If you want to give out candy or baked goods to your husband's coworkers, then great but leave the religion out of it. Halloween is not and never has been a Christian holiday so don't make it one simply for your own purposes.
Edited to add: Something that I obviously missed before, is that you say you have no problem doing this for your husband's coworkers but you refuse to do it at your workplace. I wonder why the double standard, not that it should be done at either place.

A moral lesson from someone with a broken marriage? No thanks. You have enough holidays, use YOUR holidays for your own purposes, and let the children have some fun will ya?
JUST SO EVERYONE CAN SEE HOW CHRISTAIN YOU ARE
Hello HELLVIS!
You have received a message from another user!
From: GreenGrasshopper
Subject: Re: A moral lesson from someone with a broken marriage?
Message: You need LOTS of self awareness. Yes, of course, I want opinions. But if you think it's OK to post anything you want, no matter how misguided & uninformed, frankly, you do your kids (if you actually have any) and yourself a huge disservice.
I must say, I am SO glad to be in the presence of only the 2nd sinless human being on earth. This is an honor. Thank you, Jesusette, for saving my soul. Then, again, how can you save me or show the light of God to anyone when you don't believe in witnessing? Jesusette, what kind of Christian ARE YOU? No better than a soon-to-be-divorced one, I see.
If, as your avatar name implies, you really aren't Christian, I understand your (still misguided) views.
OF COURSE, you're judging me: "If you're getting a divorce (or sin in any way, apparently), you aren't fit to witness.
You must be joking! Not even God says something like that ...and He really IS perfect.
You have NO clue about (many things including) my marriage or why it's ending. My soon-to-be-ex could have been molesting our kids, or have murdered people, or be a satanist... But by your system of measurement, I should've stayed with him! Praise God, he was not those things. Still, our marriage is ending. And that's between 3 people - me, my husband & God.
This is why I witness Matt 28:19: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father & the Son & the Holy Spirit.
You need more moral lessons than you can admit.
Thanks green grasshopper, but I'll stay with my loving community in faith. Keep your hate filled crap to yourself. Judging gay people too? OMG girl, get over yourself!

It might be more effective if you didn't try to be too preachy, but there are a lot of other ways you could use the occasion to offer a Christ-centered perspective. A lot of churches are having activities on Oct. 31 that aren't Halloween-oriented, but they just happen to occur on Halloween. Check out the first link below for some ideas.

I think you should put a bible verse that explains something about the character of a men who is considered a Great hero of the bible and was sanctified by God
Judges 16:1 One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her.
Have a nice Halloween, and remember to always follow the examples set for us in the bible

Well, some people here are just being rude and intolerant. Perhaps you should ask in the religion and spirituality section, you may get some helpful ideas there. I wouldn't mind receiving something like that at all (and if I had children I wouldn't mind them receiving it either), regardless of the fact that I don't share those beliefs. It's always a good thing to see someone trying to share something that makes them happy. I don't think you should be afraid to share that at your office, if people don't like it then they don't have to believe it, it just shows them that you do. There's nothing wrong with showing your faith, whatever it may be. Happy Halloween :)

I think your best witnessing tool would be to Make Halloween the day you get right with your Husband and God and get back together. What an example of the healing power of God to trust HIM in that he wants for your reconciliation more than anything. You did vow before God that you would love honor cherish etc etc and seems you've both agreed to recant on your promise to God. Until you get that straightened out any witnessing will be in vain.
If I'm reading your post incorrectly and you are merely separated by space, not relationally I apologize.
