How can we protect the rights of the people that do? Alcoholism and driving drunk is a disease. You wouldn't punish a cancer patient for driving. Alcoholics are people too and they have rights.

Are you just trying to get beat up? What about all the mothers who have lost children to drunk drivers. MADD
Who cares about his disease, what if someone with AIDS knowingly infected other people? He would be locked up.
So should drunk drivers who kill people.. It is like aiming a gun down the street and you don't know who may get killed.

every single person charged with DUI should be given the death penalty! drunk driving is a disease my ***! i lost my best friend, an aunt and another good friend by drunk drivers...they were on their way when an asshole deiced to get in a car drunk! **** that ****! they should all be killed...i drink! but when i get drunk i dont take a car to drive home, it's called RESPONSIBILITY and people saying that it's a disease like cancer is ******* bullshit, people dont choose to get cancer but they choose to get drunk! why dont you tell all the people who are dead that it asnt the driver's fault he's sick! excuse my french but **** that!
