Growing up I was always crazy about boys. I was married twice to men and I had 7 children. I was always curious, and well I met this girl that I was attractive to and I left my husband for her. Now I'm in a gay relationship, have been for the past 4 years. I guess I chose to be gay. And another thing I'm only attractive to butch looking girls. But I know for a fact that some people are born gay.

This might be far-out, but here it goes!
I like Sylvia Browne, the psychic's belief. We all make up our "chart" before we come down here. We pick our parents, our friends, all our experiences, including if we are gay... Our souls are either male or female, and when we incarnate in the opposite gender there is sometimes "confusion"... We all choose to come here to earth (sometimes other planets) to experience negativity for God. Since there is no negativity where our home is, in heaven, we have to work things out here, at this Earth-School. Learning to accept our selves through all this negativity and to love and be loved is our lesson! So, that is line with the fact that you believe with every fiber of your being that God made you a lesbian! Accept, that really, you made you a lesbian because you wanted to learn and experience in this way, this lifetime.

I truely believe I and most, if not all, GLBT were born this way.
Science has spent a great deal of money to prove & now show that there are even Gay animals-which any country kid could have told them for free.
I suspect the "choise" answers u recieved came from those that are of a religious background. While the scientific crowd and those of us who are gay know we were born this way.
At my age I feel I was blessed to be this way and am a stronger person because of it.

Hi babes
I believe we were born gay !!!
Society makes us feel and act in the way the "normal " people do, anything other is weird.
Well i truly believe we were born that way , the question is are we brave enough to face and tackle it head on , or bow to the pressure of society and mask our feelings till eventually they explode ...
For me i masked them for 15 yr, and they truly did explode, so matter how much we hide away it will always come out.
So how can that be that i chose to be that way nope i didn't i was born that way.
I chose to hide , i chose the other path for yrs, but i was born 10000% a lesbian.
Amen ha

In the end does it really matter what anyone else on this site personally believes about this question? Will this change your mind which seems so set?
You say you get mixed results from this question...And you will until the end of the world...Everyone has a different take on it.
As for me; I personally believe that I was born gay.

I was born Gay, I did not choose it, I did not choose to be born with brown eyes, or with teeth that one day needed braces, I did not choose my height, or hair color.
Who would choose a life that was unaccepted by most of society?, who would choose to be at the mercy of the US Goverment when it comes to fair treatment and legal rights under the law? who would choose this?
(The few the proud the strong...the Marin...no thats not right....the Homosexual community!!!))
I could go on and on, but you get the idea

Born that way....There are to many gay people (cousins, nephews ect..) in my family for me to believe that we chose this lifestyle...there is no doubt in my mind that I was born gay. Even as a child I always felt different and up until I met my soul mate 14 years ago did I feel complete...

Theres no such thing as deciding to be gay or straight, its about what your heart desires and what makes you happy and what identifies you as an individual, society teases us gay ppl just because according to the bible and society a woman was created for a man and vice versa. But then again ppl gotta know that we dont choose to be this way, because i know and have met ppl who sometimes wish they could fit the standards society as set for them (us) so all this hate and discrimination stops, but it takes more than wanting to be, theres ppl that are on denial about their sexuality juz cuz they dont want the whole world and their loved ones to disown them. I personally sometimes feel bad for my parents because i know how important it is and would be for them if i would get marry and have a family which it wont happend because for their luck i love and adore females, and thats all there is to it.All i know is that this is who i am (lesbian)that being straight doesnt fit my character and not only that but im unhappy when i must fake who i am and what i like, there have been so many gays, and lesbians especially teens that have committed suicide because of how their parents and society wouldnt accept them by being who they really discover to be.it takes a lot of gutz for someone to stand up for who they are and dont let no one get them down, and is important that society get the hang that we are who we are and them discriminating against us is only making us stronger and with more power to deal with anything that comes our way.Its sad to see close-minded people, ignorants who are only doing what they do because they dont have the gutz to be themselves but rather want to fit the profile set by society on how things should really be, i think were there is love and compassion anything is possible because love, compassion and faith are the power of anything.THEY HATE US BECAUSE WE ARE DIFFERENT AND WE ARE WHAT THEY CANT BE, AND WHO THEY WISH THEY COULD BE...........Love is giving and Love is God and may God Bless all of us who suffer from discrimination because of our sexual preferences.

I certainly don't think that anyone CHOOSES to be gay. For what reason would anyone choose to be a member of the most hated and feared minority on earth today? I, for one, also happen to believe that I am as God made me.
