No, my gynecologist informed me that women gain on the average of 40lbs after a hysterectomy, whether it is partial or full. Same thing happened to me.

Your metabolism has slowed down after the surgery and you'll have to speed it up by regular exercise or you'll keep gaining. You aren't pregnant.
