It sounds like he likes you. I would smile at him sometimes to show that you are nice and friendly. It's hard for boys to admit they like girls. Sometimes they even act mean just to give them attention and not make others suspect it. Be patient, you can try to talk to him sometime at recess, but just smile and know that boys are awkward at this age.

be very very brave and tell him you like him, it took me a month to do it but now we've been married for 6 years,i'm not telling you to get married to him, but take the chance or you will never know and you will regret it,pick a day you will tell him and JUST DO IT! good luck and let me know what happens
