It's a 2000 Honda Elite SR, and it gets about 50-60 mpg, but many (or most) mopeds get 80-90. I can't figure it out. Also, how much does your moped get?

mopeds get better gas mileage because they have a smaller engine and less cylinders to fill with gas to run the thing any ways the reason yours doesn't get as good mileage as others could be because you need a new air filter or it may be you need to adjust the air and gas intake on your carburetor and it may be your engine is just bigger than those that get 80 -90 but it is most likely one of these things for your sake hopefully

Mopeds are considerably lighter than other vehicles, and much smaller displacement engines. You may need the carburater rebuilt, or simply try a good carb. cleaner in the gas first. Hope this helps.
