I never reply to insults verbally.
I either just ignore them if they are stupid, laugh at them if they are funny or get violent with the source of them if they cross the line.

Some guy tried to embarrass me and as he said to put me in my place(he meant on my knees)
He dropped his pants and without thinking about it, I pointed at it and laughed so hard that I couldn't breath.
He took off running embarrassed--- he avoided me after that and never did that to another girl.
