My son likes to put things in his pockets all the time. After doing laundry, I went to put it all away a few days later and noticed crayon marks all over a load of clothes. He obviously had put crayons in his pocket and I didn't realize it until it was too late. Please help! I don't want to throw away an entire load of clothes.

you have 2 issues, wax and dye. Iron the cloth with a splash bit absorbent paper (blotter paper works, in case you will locate any) between the cloth (crayoned area up) and the rest (like a textile). the warmth will soften the wax and the paper will take in it. The dye might or won't pop out - it relies upon on what variety of dye that's, the form of fabric and despite the fact that if washing set the dye. Use what you may use for any stain on that fabric - chlorine on whites, chlorine-unfastened bleach, oxy-sparkling or different stain remover on colours.

my daughter has done this too. Now she's older so we don't worry about crayons, now it is lipstick!!!

I've found that baking soda works really well. Use A LOT (as in 2 large boxes) as detergent and wash your clothes in WARM (not hot / not cold) water. You may have to wash them twice, but the baking soda should scrub the crayon off.

Good luck!

put a napkin on where the crayon is. use a warm iron to melt the crayon on the clothing. Hopefully, the napkin will draw out the crayon.

Wax paper and an iron. It'll do the trick everytime.I have 6 little ones so i do this all the time.If it is melted into the fabric then it won't work, but if you feel and see the thick waxy crayon you can iron it out.
