I dont know how cold is where you are in x-mas but if is and evening thing i will go with black strappy patent leather sandals. But i have use a purple dress with natural stockins and stylish pearl shoes in february when is a little colder. It has to do a lot with the style of the dress too. Another thing i have done is find matching shoes i have bought for a wedding out of the same catalog the matching sandals so you dont have to guess much. Good luck

You have a couple of choices. You could get a pair of shoes dyed to match the dress, but be careful because that could look a little tacky if it's not done right. Some cute Black sandals would look elegant with a matching black, beaded clutch. Have fun!

Either get a pair of satin pumps and have them dyed by the store so that they match the dress perfectly, or go with a nude or matte gold colour. This way your eyes will stay on the dress and not go to your feet. BTW--dying them is surprisingly cheap, most bridal stores offer this service for you and some shoe stores ( I used to work at a shoe store).

I think silver. Much more classy than gold. Silver bag and jewellery too. Then the effect is midnight sky! Gorgeous. Have a lovely party!

Find some really cool silver sparkly strappy heels, that way you aren't stuck with a pair of shoes that only go with that one dress and are also a hot accessory, not just a pair of shoes.

If you can rob a bank look at GINA shoes..... now that is class. The diamonte style pair go with any colour and would look real classy with navy....... next do a similar cross over diamonte one for £24.99. Have a great evening........... you will prob. be bare-footing on the way home anyhow!!!!!

Your shoes should match the dress (the same color), and skip the sandals. Open toe is okay for holiday parties, but sandals are too informal for an evening dress.
