Target. Walmart blows.

I prefer Target overall, but since its about 90 miles to the nearest Target, and only 8 to the nearest Walmart, I tend to shop at Walmart when I have to. I actually try to go to Dollar General the most often - it's only 2 miles.

Love Target. Hate Wal-Mart.

WalMart has a bad reputation for unfairly dealing with employees. Target sells a nice looking line of hiking shoes in the Ozark Trail brand: earth tones with orange accents.

And Margie's right to go to Dollar General. I buy all my long-grain white rice there at $1 for a three pound bag: much cheaper than supermarket. And (big secret here) Dollar General sells the best diet cola (Clover Valley) for $2 per 12-pack. I clean them out whenever I go into town.

Target. Prices are comprable but the service is way better at Target. Plus, the people who go and "hang out" at Wal*Mart scare me. Why would you go and hang out at Wal*Mart for? Have you no life?? I feel that there are more normal people at Target.

To work at? To shop at? To invest in?

Personally I don't like either of them, but Walmart is the worst of the two. Walmart is such a monopoly in some areas. They take away worker benefits, hire people but don't give them FT hours, etc
