We've been really good friends since 5th grade. Him and his best friend both go to my church, and all three of us have been friends. Just this summer I started going to this bible study at a church family's house. He didn't start coming till later during the summer. So anyway one night, the boys were inside playing video games and me and a couple of my girl friend were out on the lawn playing Extreme Spoons. He came out and asked if he could play with us. We said yes, we played and then it was time to go home. So we began talking more at the bible study. So then one Sunday morning, me and my girl friends were in the Church Cafe' getting tea and coffee when another girl came in and started talking to us. As I get ready to leave she asks me if I like him and I tell her that we're friends. I ask why and she tells me that he asked her to ask me. Now, he seems to be avoiding me. Every time I try to talk to him at church or am even in his general area he starts freaking out and avoiding me.

He was probably hoping that you wouldn't tell this girl you were just friends. Boys are usually friends with girls for other reasons, he probably has real feeling for you and feels rejected. Regardless of how you feel, you need to talk to him and reassure him that his friendship is precious to you and you don't want to lose him as a friend. Some of the best relationships start out as friendships, and I can't think of a better person to date then one you met at church.

It probably means he likes you more than just a friend. since you can't seem to get near him with out him freaking out I think you sould call him and try to figure out whats going on and try to solve that problem so that it works out for the both of you. A friendship like that sould go to waste. Hope you two work it out some how :-)

I don't really see the question here ... but what it sounds like is that your friend has different feelings for you, than you do for him.
You should call him, or visit his home where there are no other friends nearby, and get clarification - and don't be critical. Tell him how you really feel, and let him either accept it, or deal with his emotions in his own way.

When this happened to me all I did was pretend I was pissed at that guy. He will talk to you when he realizes how "mad" you are.
