Extremes are bad. Making sure not to offend people by using less pejoritive terms, and not making statements that could be perceived to be bigoted - my definition of political correctness - is only polite and fair. But too much self-censorship means we can't discuss serious issues, and therefore can't solve them. That's bad.

Political Correctness, or rather P.C.B.S. as I like to call it is the slow ruination of this nation.

Example. Children have become so in control of their P.C. liberal pansy *** parents, that schools are outlawing tag, red pens(you know, that might offend a kid) when correcting papers, and dodge ball (because the fat kid may get left out).

More, Political Correctness is an attack on secular Christmas, but not on Ramadan, or any other holiday.

Political Correctness is when a man says MACACA, and is drawn through the mud, but his opponent says "stupid rednecks" and is ignored.

Political Correctness is against everything this country stands for, turning this country into a bunch of mealy mouthed simpering woosies. Too scared of offending some group, we stand here with our mouths closed and our eyes averted. Might as well get our veils out now.

Political correctness is a term used to describe actions taken by someone because they feel it will be perceived in a good light politically by a certain special interest group. This is a bad idea because most decisions are made based on how the decision maker will look to certain groups rather than making a good decision for all and not worrying about how they will look. That is why President Bush is perceived to be hated because he makes decisions based on the good of the whole and he is not worried about how it looks.

Since the 1960s, America has increasingly abandoned its grounding in INDIVIDUAL rights and shifted to "collective rights" as defined by ethnicity, gender or sexual preference. Members of these groups are entitled to politically privileged opportunities in the society because of some claimed past injustice. Privileges of the group may not be challenged or questioned by anyone. All such challenges and questionings are considered an "racist or intolerent" .

Political correctness came about in the 80's as a way to police people in their free speech. It was instituted by homosexual, communist, liberal thinking wack jobs who wanted to press their point of view onto free thinking individuals, where they could not themselves argue effectively their point of view in opposition. So they abused their power in the colleges, and work places, to coerce people to be silent or lose their scholarships, or diplomas, or phd's, or even their jobs if those who opposed them spoke against their liberal point of view or even discussed the so called "Unpolitically correct" topics. Such as homosexuality, abortion, religion, or any other topic that they wished to silence the opposition.

In essence, it is bad. Because it causes people who have opinions to be expressed and ideas to be thought through to be suppressed and choked, that could otherwise bring creative new solutions, or even resolutions to issues that effect us all. Free thinking people should be able to express their thoughts without repercussions for doing so. Because when that happens, we all lose!

They don't.
If someone insults you..... As long as they are not defaming your character or anything like that... There is nothing you can do about it.
PC is the biggest BS that the Libs have pushed down our throat to date.
It all started in Berkley during WW Nam. Protesters! When the war was over they had nothing left to b*tch about so they started coming up with Sh*t.

Just act like every McDonald's is Sue factory and an Lawyer cost as much as a Big Mac. Then pretend every insult was a stick of TNT and your mouth was a flame thrower. Some get off on it and others just can't help themselves.

It is the policy that you can't say anything that may be offensive to someone.

It is bad because it is an abridgment of free speech & stifles serious debate on topics that are in desparete need of serious thoughtfull discussion.

nicely of course this basically applies to one team of people. whilst it would not stick to you you additionally could make statements like the all the worldwide's issues are led to by way of blue eyed people without condemnation. So there you pass. stable for them and undesirable for the others.
