Yep.
A definite improvement on IE6.
Opens faster and loads sites faster.
Now has tabs across the top which makes it much easier to flick between different pages or sites.
Has a built in Phishing detector for what it's worth.
Has built in RSS feed indicator.
More space for the actual web page to be displayed in, the big iconic buttons have gone as have the drop down menus like File View etc. Don't panic, all this stuff is still there as you will discover when using it.
You can choose your default search engine / page easily and change it whenever you like, icluding using one that isn't in the list offered.
Many more security options
And more..
You won't be disappointed.
There is a whole load of screen shots at the MS IE7 home page called the tour, follow the Take The Tour link below.

Very unstable : keeps crashing!!
Firefox is more stable or the Opera one is good. However when accessing Mail such as hotmail, you cant really align ur text properly and the email addresses appear weird! Once IE/Microsoft have sorted their Bugs out Il use it again, but at the moment, its not very good!

Yes. ...as the publicly available Beta2. Don't do it. I uninstalled it and went back to my beloved Firefox. Version 7 is essentially Microsoft's version of Firefox.

Firefox 2 blows IE7 AWAY.
All Microsoft did was copy Firefox's features and incorporate them into IE7...what you newbies are seeing is Microsoft's version of Firefox.

yah i did it earlier today. it definatly takes some getting used to. i think it might be a little faster, but i guess that would also depend on your internet connection. (i have cable). the tool bars and the position of the icons seem a little unorganized. its not bad, but its not great. personally, i wish i would have just well enough alone.
