I tell my ten year old (who claims boredom) that being bored is a choice. It's an odd choice.
If you are at home you can cook, draw, sew, clean, experiement with make-up, read, study, get online and surf, call a friend, learn to juggle, write in a journal, meditate, exercise - etc.
Just can't imagine being bored. There aren't enough hours in the day to do all the fabulous things our brains allow us to do!

Depends on what you are into... Find websites that are focused on what you are interested in - whether it be gardening, TV, movies, etc. You can join message boards to talk about these things - go to chatrooms to chat. Play games online - that is what I do when I am bored.
You could also read a book, do the cleaning you keep putting off, find a recipe you always wanted to try, exercise, watch TV, rent a movie you always wanted to see. Make plans with a friend, get together.
